evening readers. thanks for taking time off your daily routine and reading this blog! who knows, maybe you will grow to enjoy it so much you incorporate it INTO your daily routine! : )
anyway, today i had my Maths paper 2. at the risk of sounding cocky, if the 1st paper was a breeze, this one was hardly a stirring in the air. i calculated i lost 7 marks in total? most appeasing!!!
however, what really worries me is how everyone in my immediate vicinity were claiming they found it peanuts too. thus, maybe this is just another case of pride before a fall. if everyone really found it THAT easy, then maybe the grade curve will be really really steep and i may just find myself looking at a B instead of an A.
hold on a minute... whats that? i hear grinding of teeth and muttered curses. have i offended or aggroed you? was your paper perhaps, not-too-well-done, to say the least? if so... then i apologise. like i mentioned before, in its course, this blog WILL piss off some people. its inevitable. but do know that i post my thoughts and presumptions with utter honesty. i refuse to veil my glee by going "oh you know my paper was ok lah. managable. can pass" when deep down i know that im going to do above average. this, i noticed, is very common among many other bloggers. making myself seem like a nicer person (although i have been told that i can be pretty nice when i wanna be!) is NOT the purpose of this blog. if your looking for solace and idle chit chat, i beseech you to search elsewhere. cheers.
moving on. i finished, once again, early. this time an hour early. but lucky for me the Gum was nowhere in sight. my two trips to the toilet were graced by other invigilators who took no more interest in my bathroom mannerisms than what was absolutely necessary.
thus, i ended up staring at Kaiyi's quaint hair for the better part of the hour. i was trying to remember if she normally did her hair that way when it hit me. this is the last time i ever had to do A Level Maths... whoa. that moment of revelation was astounding. it was akin to running into a brick wall. you realise that its over... you can finally give up a huge portion of what you have been forced to learn for the past 13 (im a retainee friends.) horrid years!!!
after the paper i was still in a daze. i couldnt believe that on Saturdays and Thursdays i no longer had Maths tuition. i couldnt believe that my graphic calculator had lost all purpose, except to bash in the head of an annoyance. last but not the least... i couldnt believe that i didnt have to GIVE JAESH BALACHANDRAN ANY MORE MATHS TUITION. so its two birds with one stone! i wouldnt have to employ all of my patience to teach Jaesh functions any longer, and i wouldnt be tempted to bash in his brains with my hefty calculator everytime he asks me a question i answered barely a week ago ( joking here... if it wasnt for Jaesh im not sure if i could have pulled through my problems. love you man.)
so yeah after that i headed to the Pines with Jerome, Ian and Shi Han. gymed and went to the sauna room. WHOOOOO SAUNA ROOM!!!! AND STEAM ROOM!!! first time ever and i loved every second in those two rooms.
after that jerome took off to dine with his mom.... while leaving us his club card details so he would treat us dinner. jerome jerome jerome jerome jerome jerome. on behalf of us all... thanks ( dont hold your breath) for the burger, the char kway teow, the beef noodles, the fish and chips, the fries, the half a dozen chicken and beef satays with extra rice cakes and calamari rings. : )
post-meal, our merry little... wait. whats the proper term for a group of 5 people. one is solo, two is duo, three is trio, four is quartet... but whats five? food for thought. anyway, the five of us mosied on to the deli for some beer and conversation. talking about the past and sharing stories mixes with beer amazingly well. we were soon guffawing and struggling for breath as the jokes flew and wit tickled.
after all this, jerome walked off and me, shi han, kiat and ian strode down towards my house. we discussed post A Level plans all the way down Stevens road until we had to part ways. i think Shi Hans coming my house tomorrow to prevent me from studying. ah well. yeah so i got home, sat down and began blogging.
all in all, today was a great day. good paper, better gym session, glorious meal and grand bonding with good people. next paper is monday so i think ill take things slow. tomorrow promises a day of watching movies and laughing at people on Bnet, thursday Econs tuition and Deepavali celebration with my old class mates ( really really hopefully this comes to pass. i miss you guys man. AD4 2005-2006 FTW! ) and friday meeting Jaesh to study.
whoa. just had another revelation. im having more fun now than the days immediately following my graduation. maybe its cause all the obstacles that we face just naturally pulls people together and provides a way to enjoy yourself. or maybe its because i am now truly truly overjoyed that i have found wonderful friends to surround myself with mirth and good feeling. or maybe its because i got an A in maths.
all this doesnt matter though. really it doesnt. im keeping my eyes on the future and plunging ahead. im using these good times as a springboard, leaping into whatever God has got waiting for me. alright chums lets do this.
Leeroy Jenkins' Wipe in Blackrock Spire
Because we all pull a Leeroy now and then.
Player 1: [talking to teammates outside cave] OK guys, these eggs have given us a lot of trouble in the past, uh does anybody need anything off this guy or can we bypass him?
Player 2: Uhh, I think Leeroy needs something from this guy.
Player 1: Oh, does he need those Devout Shoulders? Doesn't - isn't he a paladin?
Player 2: Yeah, but that will help him heal better, he'll have more mana.
Player 1: [sighs] Christ. OK, uhh well what we'll do, I'll run in first, uh gather up all the eggs, we can kinda just, ya know blast them all down with AOE. Um, I will use Intimidating Shout, to kinda scatter'em, so we don't have to fight a whole bunch of them at once. Uhh, when my Shouts are done, uhh, I'll need Anfrony to come in and drop his Shout too, uh so we can keep them scattered and not have to fight too many. Um, when his is done, Bass of course will need to run in and do the same thing. Uhh, we're gonna need Divine Intervention on our mages, uhh so they can, uhh, AE, uh so we can of course get them down fast, cause we're bringing all these guys, I mean, we'll be in trouble if we don't take them down quick. Uhh I think this is a pretty good plan, we should be able to pull it off this time. Uhh, what do you think Abduhl? Can you give me a number crunch real quick?
Abduhl: Uhhh.. Yeah gimme a sec... I'm coming up with thirty-two point three three uh, repeating of course, percentage, of survival.
Player 1: That's a lot better than we usually do, uhh, alright, you think we're ready guys? [interrupted]
Leeroy: Alright, chums, Let's do this... LEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEEENKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS! [runs into room]
-Short pause-
Player 2: ... Oh my God he just ran in. [runs in]
Player 1: Save him! Oh jeez, stick to the plan. Oh jeez, let's go, let's go! [follows]
Player 1: Stick to the plan chums, stick to the plan!
Player 1: Oh jeez, oh fuck.
[Indistinguishable]: Gimme a Divine Intervention, hurry up.
Player 1: Shoutin'!
Player 3: I can't cast! I can't move, am I lagging, guys? I can't move!
Player 1: What the—what the hell?
[Another Player]: I can't AE!
Player 3: I can't move!
Player 1: Oh my God...
[Another Player]: The eggs keep respawning! More respawning!!
[Indistinguishable]: I don't think you can cast with that shit on!
[Another player]: Oh my God!
Leeroy: We got em, we got em! I got it, I got it.
Player 2: Take it off! Take it off! [muffled shouts]
Player 1: Stay down, Stay down. Oh my God..
Player 1: Goddamnit Leeroy! Goddamn it...
[Various others]: Yeah, Leeroy you moron, Leeroy! [various put-downs of Leeroy amongst group]
Player 1: Listen, this is ridiculous.
[Indistinguishable]: You dumbass.
Leeroy: I'm on it.
Player 1: I'm down, Forekin down. Goddamnit. [shouting, then a pause, followed by other put-downs] Why do you do this shit, Leeroy?
[Another Player]: Spiffy, rez us! Spiffy, rez us!
Player 2: I'm trying!
Leeroy [crying]: It's not my fault!
Player 1: Who's Soulstoned? We do have a Soulstone up, don't we? [everyone dies] Think I need a Soulstone?
Player 2: Yeah but you need a Warlock.
Player 2 [noticing everybody is dead]: ... Oh God...
Player 1: Oh for - [sighs, nearly chokes and swallows] Great job! For Christ's sake! [indistinguishable babble] Leeroy, you are just stupid as hell.
[Another Player]: Oh my God...
Leeroy: At least I have chicken.
