good evening my lovelies!!! wow i tell you i have had a blast these past 2 days. no joke. before i talk about em though, lemme just make a little sidetrack. i have a lit paper on monday. but i cant bring myself to study the imagined worlds. i think its because right now im in the fuck it all im free mood. its friggin awesome, at the same time disturbingly worrying. but who the hell cares, YOU know im good at lit. I know im good at lit. not to be cocky, but imagined worlds IS my forte.
keeping that in mind, ive had such a great time. yesterday i went bukit batok driving centre for my 1st basic theory lesson. it was a waste of friggin life force. everything the instructor said was in the booklet, and the videos he showed were LITERALLY 10 years old. no joke. the women in the videos were still wearing those hideous huge bow ties on their heads for crying out loud.
so how was that "fun" han? well, because i saw some old acjc friends! joshua tan, srijit, zhong ku that whole group was there. they were pretty lost so i helped them out a bit. good guys all of em. but more importantly i met shu hui!
i was waiting at the porch for shi han (who came 15 min late), cause we signed up for same lessons and stuff. i was glancing around and saw this girl get out of the car while gazing about. and sudddenly something clicked in my head, i looked back and saw shu hui!!! you all know shu hui. netballer, tanned, from mgs. she waved hi and lo and behold we had the same theory class!
it already started so we decided to go for the lesson together. we were laughing at the person in charge, videos and jokes the whole hour and a half lah. learnt some interesting things from her too!!!
like for example. she wants to train dolphins as a job during her free time.
O_O wahahaha i was like ok... have you ever touched a dolphin? and she said no!!! wahahaha. alright so it wasnt THAT bad. but then she said that she likes dolphins... just not fishes. fishes. HAHAHAHA FISHES. i sat there stunned. i mean can you imagine. she goes to the job interview and they ask her what do you think is expected of you for this extremely rigorous occupation? "being adept at swimming? having patience and gentleness? oh and im comfortable with feeding fishes to the dolphins."

ok. hahahaha so we chatted about stuff like that, and LAUGHED AND LAUGHED AT SHI HAN WHEN WE SAW HIS HEAD POP INTO THE ROOM. friggin champion lah, its not even a school lecture and hes late for it.
yesh. after the lesson we parted ways. i went with shi han to serene centre because he wanted to buy a warhammer codex. warhammers this complex, complex game that has a billion rules and stuff. like dungeons and dragons, except futuristic. so its got robots and aliens and what not.
tell you the moment i stepped into the comics shop i felt my inner geek take hold. WHOA there was the marvel civil war!!! oh my DOT its the death of superman!!! and COOL, BETTY AND VERONICA ARE FIGHTING OVER ARCHIE AGAIN!!!!!
not so much the last...
but yeah lent shi han moolah to get his Eldar codex and we headed home.
kiat then dropped by my place and chilled. watched mean girls and discussed social politics within our fine(?) learning instituitions and how they pertained, or strayed, from the movie. deep stuff for a chick flick. then again, kiat can make an intricate talk about nearly anything...
after that we met jerome for dinner!!! talked, and i realised that jerome has it pretty hard man. hes got a choir workshop thats 8am to 8pm for a few days just to prepare for christmas caroling. whoa man.
after dinner and talk jerome left. me and kiat went to outside the delhi at pines to enjoy the breeze and speak of our plans for future mischief and mayhem!!!! more on that next time.
saturday
woke up this morning and lazed around. mmmpfffttttt i despise my internal body clock. after waking up near every day for the past 13 years at 6am, i find myself continuing to do so despite my schooling days being finally over. troublesome, but i cope. helped pass the time when i talked to kystle. miss tse is indeed one of the smartest, funniest girls i know. good luck with that boyfriend Mr Tall!!
anyway, shi han, kiat and joshua came my house!!! we watched full metal jacket. ok thats one great war movie. its by stanley kubrick, the same guy who brought us a clockwork orange. its sadistic to say the least. but amusing to no end.
mmmm hahaha. CHOKE YOURSELF!!!!!
yeah we left my place to go the cell group! wow it was amazing fun. we played games(whacko, polar bear) then the head talked about the days message. it was about Solomon, and how, if we could ask for one thing from God and he would give it, what would it be?
that struck a chord. a big, heavy brass one. we split into our buddy groups(oh by the way, shi han came late for cell. what the dot man. only that champion can pull off something like that) to talk about what we wanted and stuff.
we went in a circle. all of asked for astoundingly differing things. kiat asked for a free pass to heaven, no strings attached. shi han asked for a Herland novel because he didnt have one to bring into the exam hall on monday. and i asked for courage.
after this, we split into smaller groups to pray. my group had kiat, shi han, me, joshua and one guy whose name i cant remember. it was touching. that guy wanted to get into Office Cadet School but he didnt make the first cut so he wanted to get in the second time around. thing was, he was a free thinker. he was at church for the sake of it. so he didnt really believe in God.
when i heard that, i knew i had to do something. it just welled up from inside and it came gushing out. i asked him you know, right before you take your exams or like before that OCS postings came out, did you pray to God? did you ask Him for help one way or another? and he admitted yeah i did, cause i was desperate and what not. i said if there IS a God please help. i replied alright, thats good. just because your a free thinker doesnt mean that you must resolutely tell yourself that theres no God. if you pray, then theres this little part of you that knows someones up there watching over you. why not bring out that part again? theres no harm in praying with us, and for all you know hes waiting for you to make that decision right now.
so despite at first saying oh you know ima sit this prayer out, im a free thinker... he joined us in our message to God. but it was a bit awkward at first. the 5 of us looked at each other and wondered what to do. so once again i stepped in and said ok, how about i lead the prayer?
it went something like this...
"God, hey its me, shi han, kiat, joshua and guy(clearly i didnt say guy, i forgot his name. for convenience's sake he shall be called guy). we come before You pleading that You give us what we asked for, because You have a plan for all of us. our future is in Your hands, and we ask that You give us these things if they are indeed part of the path You have laid out for us.
for kiat God, he asked for a free pass to heaven no strings attached. Lord, please help him with that. but God, im also asking You that You help rid him of some of his bad habits. especially smoking, he wants to cut down and stop. give him the will to know to stop, because it is through You that this determination is made possible. so God please grant him that pass, and fulfill his want to stop smoking.
for shi han, he asked for a new Herland book. help the people that he has asked to aid him in finding the book from their juniors, so that he can go into the exam on monday feeling that he has everything he needs. help him understand the book, so that he can do well for his Lit exam.
for joshua, God he has asked for entrance into heaven. hes a kind, gentle person who i learned today has been going to the chapel of ressurection ever since he was a baby. continue to bless him and give him a place in Your court, because that is what his heart desires, and i know that You would love nothing more than to see another of Your children enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
for guy, God please help him. he wants to get into OCS and make something of the two years hes spending in ns. hes a free thinker, but he still comes before You today seeking help because he knows that You are powerful enough to give it. he is humble and if its in Your plan for him God, please allow him into OCS so he can be satisfied and content.
for me God, i ask for courage. a week ago, i would have asked for charissa. but i now know that she is NOT in the plan you have laid out for me Lord. You have given me signs to show me that the plan for me now involves me going forward. over the past month ive asked for wisdom to know whats right and the strength to do it. now i know what i have to do, and i pray with all my heart that You give me the courage i need to continue doing it.
Lord, all this i pray, Amen."
yeah. good stuff. i felt really better after that, not only because i felt that God touched me like He did last week, but also that everyone in that circle knew that God was making sure that He would give us what we want, if its absolutely what we needed.
ok, it was at this point of time that shi han wanted to jump from the 2nd storey to the ground level. in the church. at first, i was like go for it. then i came to my senses and realised ok wer in a church, show some respect... so i told shi han im not gonna video you so get off that ledge and lets go play frisbee with the rest.
FRISBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. fun stuff man. i scored a few times i scored a few times!!!!!
need to work on my throwing though. yeah so the cell group split into two and we competed against each other for like an hour and half. it felt so good lah. i was running and jumping and laughing so much i thought id keel over and die!!! we had a blast and even though my team lost, we fought like champs! mmm i love intercepting passes. im especially good at it because i have keen reflexes, a remnant of my old polo trainings.
after that me and shi han left for my grandmas house for dinner. we chowed down on some quality food and chilled in the living room. following that we headed to my place to chill and let shi han collect my Herland so he could chong study in overnight tonight. i have my doubts though, thats one friggin boring and repetitive book. after 2 hours, hell wanna gouge his eyes out i promise.
yesh so he watched mr and mrs smith while i pawned at DOTA. hahaha i farmed a divine rapier on my bloodseeker and gave it to the other team. we almost lost cause of that. wahahaha ok, once again for the DOTA impaired heres some imagery!
imagine france britain and america went to war against japan and china. america and britain are slugging it out against the two opponents, while france is secretly developing a weapon which can destroy whole friggin cities with ease. and near the end of the war, when victory seems apparent for the western countries... france gives that weapon willingly to japan.
bwahahaha it was hilarious. my team was scolding me while the other team was praising me. in the end we won though, hands down without breaking a SWEAT baby.
right so shi han left with my Herland and here i am posting! mmm. better go shower i havnt bathed since frisbee. hahahaha
