when your winning

evening friends. : )

smiling. hmmmm. where to begin, wheerreee to begin. lemme see....

okok i know i know. why not begin with some stuff thats made ME smile these past few days? maybe from there i can branch out and create something cool for you loyal persons to ponder about.

lets start with shi han. hahaha shi han can always bring a smile to my face. many times cause of the blank look on HIS. : ) this guys kept me smiling no matter the pickle im in. even in trying times he can spout some nonsense, bringing first a WTF look to my face followed by a "WTF WAS THAT SHIT ABOUT" laugh!

take for example when he came over yesterday. he was playing Fable, and he wanted to find all 30 silver keys. thing is, he couldnt find the last 8. he became OBSESSED with looking for those damn keys.... as in really OBSESSED. he spent a whole HOUR running around from region to region looking for ponds to fish and graves to dig up to find keys. then after 45 min, he found a place in the Darkwood to fish. he went YES PLEASE LET THIS BE A SILVER KEY. hahaha then the fishing line SNAPPED!!! of course he tried again then he said omg this had better not be another useless fish.... AND HE CAUGHT A LOUSY USELESS FISH WAHAHAHAHA. AFTER LOOKING FOR 45 min WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. he quit after a while. only cause it was so late! > <

lets proceed! today i met kiat. me him and shi han headed over to subway to munch on sandwiches and snacks, just to talk cock and chill. we started talking about that chinese woman from grey's anatomy. whats her name again.... rhymes with hoe... SANDRA OH thats right. so yeah we were talking about her. about how she has this perpetual sad look on her face, like she contracted depression immediately after being conceived or something.

and then this woman who looked JUST like her walked in. the three of us were friggin astounded. i wanted to ask her for a picture, but im not sure how she would have taken being compared to sandra oh.

"excuse me, miss. may i please take a photo with you?"

"oh.............. why?"

"oh cause me and my buddies over there think you look a LOT like that chinese actor from grey's anatomy. you know, sandra o-"

*leaps at me to club me to death with her subway bmt.* screaming "WHO LOOKS SAD NOW BITCH!!!!"

i dunno...

hey!!! i just caught myself smiling!!! funny stuff on MTV. nice. so yeah someone said that it takes less muscles to smile than to frown. mmm. do you think thats true? i mean, if we cut open a guys face, wed know i guess. but as in... what do you think? would you rather smirk or scowl....

for yours truly, id rather smile. its not that im an optimist. nono, im really a pessimist. just ask anyone thats spoken to me recently. for me, smiling is a natural defence mechanism. it can diffuse a volatile situation in no time, pave over an awkward meeting or conversation and even make myself feel welcome no matter how out of place i may be.

for instance, the other time i had to get my leg sterilised (ill blog about it next time... how i got the awful scar on my left thigh) i had to have fine, yellow powder poured into an open wound. it was like salt. only it stung a friggin million times more. instead of screaming, i started laughing my head off. no joke! i was laughing so hard tears were rolling down my round cheeks. i guess i was too busy telling myself to laugh at the situation so i could take my mind off the pain.

the doctor didnt think it was so amusing though. she was really afraid that i was delusional from the pain. she wanted to inject me with sedatives. O_O i had to calm down and tell her i was alright. though not before she called in 3 nurses to hold me down while she took out the BIGGEST syring i had ever seen...

so yes. for me anyway, i smile to get rid of pain and barge through crap in my life. i suppose that a grin solves more problems than a grimace... probably due to the friendly, welcoming tones of a beaming face compared to the nasty, gloomy tones of a bereaved countenance.

in conclusion, thats my smile post. hope you liked it! not very deep or informative... but yeah there you go. i smile easily, and i feel good about it. i can smile about almost anything, whether it be one of xiang un's (earth-shattering) lame jokes or the superbly mind numbing comedy seen on cow and chicken. so next time you see me say hi and lets chat about stuff! maybe ill give you something to smile about and vice versa. : ) good night faithful readers!

Carlos Santana feat. Chad Kroeger's Into The Night

Like a piece to the puzzle that falls into place
You could tell how we felt
from the look on our faces
We were spinning in circles
with the moon in our eyes
No room left to move
in between you and I
We forgot where we were
and we lost track of time
And we sang to the wind
as we danced through the night
