why do all the good bands break up?

heres a list of amazing bands which have broken up/drifted apart. chances of us hearing anything from these groups are next to nil, and i for one feel that the music scene is that much more dead because their contributions have ceased. ill give the name of the band, their songs which have touched my life the most and the closest substitute there is out there.

Blink 182
songs- adam's song, going away to college, always, online songs, roller coaster, man overboard, i miss you, feeling this, story of a lonely guy, reckless abandon, everytime i look for you, here's your letter, down, easy target, dammit

substitutes-+44, angels and airwaves

*sniff*. man, this brings back memories of doug, daryl and songs sung in the void deck and in class. great times. wed listen to blink and just waste the day away by singing along and out-noising everyone else. i miss those moments.... oh well, yanni will have to do : )

Frou Frou
songs- let go, holding out for a hero, breathe in

substitutes-dido

frou frou. hmmm. isnt that a poodle name or something. > < they made great, unique music which you can chill to no matter where you are. the combination of imogen heap's clear, oakey voice and guy sigsworth's amazing producing is a far cry from the bland, tasteless junk all over the radios nowadays.

The Darkness
songs-i believe in a thing called love, love is only a feeling

subtitutes-twisted sister, queen

ill never forget justin hawkin's squeal of GUITAR! right before he rips into this brain blowing solo in i believe in a thing called love. class glam rock. well, all im saying is stone gods have huge shoes to fill...

Guns N Roses
songs-paradise city, sweet child of mine, welcome to the jungle

substitutes-nothing fucking comes close

one word to descibe the GNR's brand of music: orgasmic. shreddings awesome, and so are the high notes hit.

Creed
songs-one last breathe, my sacrifice, higher

substitutes-alter bridge

well, this is one substitute that i think really really compares to the genius that was creed. scott stapp may be gone, but myles kennedy more than stepped up to the plate. friggin awesome, especially in loving memory. whooo, one of the best sad rock songs. notice i said sad rock, not emo rock. alter bridge isnt for wussies.

No Doubt
songs-running, hella good, dont speak, undearneath it all

oh my dot gwen take a fucking hint and get back to your roots. your best music was made in this amazingly cool band, why abandon it for hip hop and songs which hardly bring out your vocals? ok, give it to you, pharrell DOES define stylish music. but cmon, rock steady bitch.

ahhhh thats about it. need to get back to work so ill stop here. maybe ill pick this back up on another post if i feel like it. after all, music doesnt die... just its artists.

You Can't Be Me, I'm A Rock Star
I'm Rhyming On The Top Of A Cop Car
I'm A Rebel And My .44 Pops Far
It's Almost Over Now It's Almost Over Now
Guess, You Ain't Heard That We Swallow Guys
It's Too Damn Late ,to Apologize
When You See The Mantle Or When You See The Skies
It's Almost Over Now It's Almost Over Now

You Think That You Don't Have To Ever Quit
You Think That You Can Get Away With It
You Think The Light Won't Be Ever Lit
It's Almost Over Now, Almost Over Now
Something's On Your Chest Better Get It Off
There'll Be No One Left When We Set It Off
We Ain't Gonna Take It No More
Since It's Almost Over Now, Almost Over Now

You Have To Plenty Of Time, There Was No Rush
But It Was Your Dream To Be Like Us
You're In Dreamland So You Don't Care
And As You Wake I'm Standing There
