semi-circle goodbyes

although of course, "you" is extremely subjective.

anyway! today another activity filled day. gymed again, water polo again. and i must say im getting my water feel back. i performed much more impressively just now than compared to monday's fiasco. although, it goes without saying, i must work much harder if i ever wanna get back to being half the keeper i was back in the day.

after eating with BOOTMAN(nigel) and WEN YANNNGGGGG(alex) at holland village i took a bus home to get some much needed rest. i am so knackered, and i sustained an injury through means so utterly idiotic that i dare not put it up on my blog lest i suffer the slings and arrows of scorn.

alright, ok i think i need to devote some time to discussing the strange nicknames we give each other in the water polo team. its a ton more fun to shout something humorous or hilariously symbolic whenever a teammate performs well or messes up than it is to simply scream his name. case in point: look at the climatic finale in that movie a knight's tale, right before he pawns his rival with a lance.

instead of yelling a clever one-liner which would have sealed that moment in cinematic history, the newly knighted bugger instead screeches his OWN name. "WILLLLLIIIIAAAAMMMMM!!!". whats up with that??? it boggles the mind! i think he would have been better off roaring his HORSE's name.

moving on. thus, our nicknames are more than just that: they are rallying cries, standards around which we can cheer and be proud of. defying all odds, we hurl our teammate-given brands to the skies and at our opponents, striking fear(well... maybe more CONFUSION than anything else...) into the hearts of our unfortunate enemies and raising morale in our own.

"HEN LONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!"

ahem.

ill just start on the subject of today's post shall i! which is, why i do NOT read blogs(other than my own of course. as if that wasnt glaringly obvious already.). first, allow me to explain why i chose such a... dodgy topic tonight.

a couple weeks ago, i was chilling out with kiat and char in the void deck(or somewhere else. im how old, memorys not what it used to be.) talking. suddenly, either kiat or char(see.) asked me "han do you still read char's blog?". my answer was... not as often as before. and then again on monday i was sitting in the cafe with kiat and char, idly chatting about stuff once more. kiat asked me if i still read HIS blog. to which i replied with an honest... not really.

so. why on earth do i not read these two blogs(and many many others...)? they belong to friends dont they? and they may or may not mention me now and again, thus they may be worth visiting from time to time. hmm.

well, answers simple. its because i already know anything relevant pertaining to me which you may place on your blog. and thats all im actually concerned about! see, if you are a good friend of mine then i would comprehend EXACTLY where i stand with you. i would not need to visit your blog to examine obscure hints or carefully worded phrases(rare. very very rare.) to study the status of our relationship! nor would i have to read about a fun day spent with you because well... i was THERE!

there you go. the de facto reason why i avoid blogs like the plague. : )

in closing me lovelies, just because i dont read your blogs doesnt mean i dont value your opinions or cherish your friendship. its simply due to how i do not rely on pixels and paragraphs to measure the bond we have. not testimonials on friendster, not sending people stuff on facebook(or whatever it is they do. i wouldnt know.) and certainly not the carefully calculated posts put up on blogs. no. I accomplish this through acts and words, done in REAL LIFE. and i must say it is far more effective than anything a computer or website can ever convey.

thus. kiat, char. i love you both, as both of you well know. i wish your blogs well and hope you never run out of things to blog about. so cheers, and i hope ill see you again as soon as possible!

Let's live for the moment this time
Why don't you just make up your mind?

You make my head spin
You make my head spin
Why? Why do you?
You make my head spin
You make my head spin
Why? Why?
