morning readers!!! this is gonna be the last post for the next couple of days. our flight to hong kong is less than 24 hours away! im so excited, ive been looking forward to it for the longest time.
anyway, tonight, if everything goes according to plan, me wei ting and chris are going to yannis house to stayover. this is because she lives so close to changi(well... compared to the rest of us anyway. changi is, if you think about it, pretty friggin far from anywhere in singapore.) and we have to check in by 4 am.
personally, my plans involve me staying up all night drinking and talking with them, not getting any shut eye at all. by doing so, i can get all my sleep in on the three hour plus flight to hong kong. killing two birds with one stone, because not only is jetstar in dire need of proper in flight entertainment but also because i am slightly claustrophobic(... so what am i doing in this cubicle? this small.. tiny... miniscule... trapping... cubicle. OH MY DOT. ITS TOO SMALL. I CANT BREATHE. I CANT I CANT BREATHE, THERES NO SPACE I CANT MOVE I NEEDA GET OUT I NEEDA GET OUT LEMME OUT AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH).
but enough! im sure therell be loads to blog about the trip, i wont go any further into it. exciting as it is, ill save all the details and juicy news when i return monday night! keep your eyes peeled on tuesday morning when im back in this cozy cubicle with nothing to do. : )
today i wanted to do another deep, insightful piece on something philosophical. but for some reason, instead of a portrait of clever sayings and debate, i can only draw up a blank. i guess nothing THAT complex has occurred recently, thus i have no material to dissect and study. hmmm. maybe ill go LOOK for some of said intricacies. "seek and ye shall find", after all.
in the mean time, please be content with a snippet from an upcoming short story im working on.
Adam
adam made his way through the throngs. he shoved and pushed just like the rest of the multitude, jostling people left and right. not slowing down even when a particularly vicious shove caused a woman wearing an ermine fur coat and carrying a louis viton handbag to shriek and fall down, adam continued to slither towards the middle of the huge building.
as the tubes slid back and forth on their tracks, men, women and children alike stampeded on and off the carriages, hurrying off to their destinations. chaotic to say the least, no one in their right mind would have wanted to remain in that hustle and bustle any longer than they absolutely had to. they couldnt wait to get out of the crowded and inefficient government building, what will all the loud noises, obnoxious people and disturbing smells of sweat and cheap cologne pervading every corner of the place. adam paused.
he had reached his spot: the centre of the enormous train station. the moment he stopped, he was immediately banged around by the surging crowds surrounding him. grunts of "get outta way", "move along you prick" and other such derogatory remarks flew in a constant stream, each more stinging than the last. like a fragile island, adam was set about on all sides by tumultous waves of impatient commuters. adam faced the very real threat of being tripped and trampled underfoot... but still he stood, refusing to move even one step.
ignoring the rude suggestions coming from everywhere all at once and the constant knocking about, adam closed his eyes, turned his face upwards and spread his arms wide by a tiny fraction. to the unknowledgable outsider, it would have seemed as though he was in a trance. and in a way, he was.
ok, that was a short extract. ill finish it and place the completed result here by the end of next week. needa start pretending to work and planning what we gonna do in hong kong. till next week me lovelies, stay safe and sexy!
Toploader's Dancing In The Moonlight
We get it on most every night
When that moon is big and bright
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark and they don't bite
They keep things loose they keep it tight
