brilliant.

ive been spending quite some time over at jeromes house. saturday night chilled at his place with ian and chris, sunday night was just me him and his brother john talking cock, and tuesday morning/afternoon visited with shi han bt boren xiang un and yanni. ok you know what, i think ill just make this a journal post because i noticed i havnt been typing up much this week.

lets start with jerome! after his ankle surgery the poor guy hasnt been able to leave his house. moving around is quite a chore and he can barely hobble about with his crutches. thus, i feel that as a friend i should take the troublesome 30 min bus ride to his house more regularly just to keep the bored little bugger company. its the nice thing to do lah.

so monday was the acjc vs acsi match which acjc won 9-3. most unsettling considering when rjc played acsi, the half time score was 13-3 in rjcs favour. these fears were realised when acjc lost 6-5 to rjc yesterday. a most heart wrenching defeat because now it means that they have no chance of making it to the finals. 3rd or 4th this year.

meh, i still strongly believe that the last year acjc will ever win gold in water polo was in 2005 with my team. not to be cocky, but just because in general, all acjcs sports are going down the drain. not kidding, just take a look at the premiere ccas which have degraded to the point of no return. rugby, swimming, tennis... have they a chance? not damn likely. why though?

well, firstly kelvyna chan has effectively terminated pay to coaches. water polo and rugby, the two more recognised sports in acjc superiority are now being taught by people WHO ARE NOT GETTING PAID. the coaches are teaching the teams pro bono, and cmon lets face it. they can hardly devote the proper time and effort to a job that doesnt pay. they have families and themselves to support, they need to put their blood and sweat towards something that can actually help their upkeep.

also, acs ib is draining much needed talent away from acjc. as the "in" thing in education nowadays, sports men and women who would ordinarily make acjc their first choice are being lured in by a certificate recognised around the world offered by acsi. clearly, these people would choose ib, especially if they lack any ties or obligations to acjc(such as siblings, teammates, friends or coaches attending the school.).

but i digress.

tuesday was fun! met yanni at night after her jap class for some coffee and conversation. the last time we did that was last monday so i was looking forward to it very much. with mei ting and shun busy with work and jerome rendered incapable of going out, i rely on yanni a lot for company. and, to be frank, theres no other way id have it. besides bitching on and on about song loo, we share a LOT in common but have even MORE conflicting viewpoints. thus our talks are pretty animated and informative : D

right, yesterday was boring. i wanted to go down and watch the match but just as i was about to leave jerome asked me to dota. and how could i refuse the poor guy? hes all alone at home for crying out loud! yeah so i dotaed with him and then slept at eight. for some reason i just wanted to have an early early night. and i feel great now!!!

ogay so i hope today will be fun. maybe jaesh will be free for dinner! toodles friends!

Fuel's Shimmer

She calls me from the cold
Just when I was low, feeling short of stable.
All that she intends;
And all she keeps inside, isn't on the label.

She says she's ashamed
can she take me for a while?
can I be a friend,
We'll forget the past,
but maybe I'm not able
And I break at the bend..

We're here and now,
Will we ever be again?
Cause I have found
All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade...
Away...
Again
