insanity streak

i dunno... ive always wondered about the saying 'walking around with a smile'.

i never thought that to be possible, from a practical point of view. i mean sure you could be with a group of friends and one of em cracks a joke. or you could be just thinking about that latest fail video you watched and start chuckling. but cmon thats not walking around with a smile. the saying implies differently, that something happened or will happen that brightens your day FOR the day.

that kinda struck me today on my way home. but not in any of the conventional way.

alighting from the mrt and making my way to the bus stop, i suddenly had this clarifying vision of myself. here i am, 21 years old and living my life the best i can. taking stock of everything happening to me, i dont really have reason to complain. and the best part? my outlook can only get better. : D

so with that, i put on a more confident grin and got my cheery self home to enjoy the creature comforts i love.

see, life can be a lot more brutal. really. people i know have it REALLY fucked up. parents not around, financial stumbling blocks, social inadequacy. the list goes on. im really thankful that i can steer clear of so many of em. and keep being myself, the joyful bugger that i am.

cause even though i hit walls and snags... i know i come through ok. actually, maybe more than ok. i come through like a hero.

in closing, to prove that life can be as harsh as a sohai...

but, we make the best of the worst sometimes, and just keep doing it.

p.s. geraldine im missing you too

The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
I'm thinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
